We understand that you want to get your product on the market as soon as possible. In fact, a lot of our customers come to us asking for rushed printing on their product labels to meet important deadlines. However, instead of asking for rushed printing which can cut back design time, there are some things you can consider to get your labels on time. If you need custom made labels fast, check out these five tips.
If you have a logo or graphic you want to be included on your product labels, we can definitely incorporate that onto whatever type of label you need. However, sending graphics the correct size the first time can cut back on time spent on this step of the process. So, before sending the image over, be sure to get the right size that’s needed. Not to worry. Once we’ve determined the label size and use you need, we’ll provide the exact dimensions needed for your graphics. Furthermore, once you’ve got the right size, make sure you download the images in vector format. These include format endings like .pdf, .svg, and .ai. But, don’t include .png or .jpeg, which are incompatible with design software.
Additionally, the correct formatting of images is crucial to cutting down the time spent on the label design. If you already have artwork you want to be incorporated, make sure it was designed using CMYK colors. These are the four types of colors most commonly used in printing. If the artwork was designed with RGB (red, green, blue), an older format, it will have to be converted to CMYK before printing can begin. Obviously, this will take more time and set back the printing process.
Before you can get custom-made labels designed and developed, we’ll need to know the size and shape of your product packaging. So, this means choosing packaging before going on to the label. And, getting the correct measurement so we can help to decide the best shape and size for your product labels. Remember, you don’t want to get your labels and then find they don’t work on the packaging you’ve selected.
Often, the last label design will be agreed upon and a client will change his or her mind about the artwork, fonts, colors, material, or otherwise. However, once a design is agreed upon, your order will go directly into the print stage. So, making edits at this step in the process means having to start over. Instead of making edits last-minute, make sure you’re completely content with the last design. This way, you can expect exactly what you want when the labels are finished with printing.
